Sustainability and resource conservation are two reasons why the Gardens transformed the York Street eastern right-of-way in the spring of 2023 from thirsty turfgrass to a diverse planting of drought-tolerant species. It is predicted this will decrease water consumption by up to 100,000 gallons per year once esstablished. Watch this area as the plants mature.
