DERIVATION
grahamii - named for Edward Graham, who collected specimens in the 1930s, near the Green River in Utah (U.S.)

Grusonia grahamii was named for James Duncan Graham, 1799-1865, founder of the Corps of Topographical Engineers, directed the re-survey of the Mason Dixon Line, participated in many exploratory surveys.
