DERIVATION
allenii Eriogonum allenii named for Timothy Field Allen, MD, specialist in homeopathic medicine, compiled the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica.

Galanthus x allenii, named for James Allen,1830-1906, British nurseryman, known for hybridization of snowdrops and anemones. Anemone nemorosa 'Allenii' and x Chionoscilla allenii also named for him.
