BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION Perennial to 1m. Stems erect, leafy, hairy. Leaves adpressed-velutinous, basal leaves to 15cm, oblong, stem leaves to 3cm, bract-like, ovate-oblong, acute, irregularly toothed, lobed. Flowers in a corymb, to 10cm across; sepals adpressed-pubescent; petals rounded, scarlet or bright orange with white basal spot; anthers yellow; stigmatic disc 6-7 rayed. Fruit oblong-clavate, to 2cm, glaucous. Summer.
