![]() The planted areas inside, outside and on top of the parking garage present a welcoming and beautiful place to begin your experience at Denver Botanic Gardens. These gardens include a wide variety of plants, from ferns and rhododendrons in the shady gardens on the lowest level of the parking garage to a mix of trees, shrubs and sun-loving perennials on the top level's planter boxes. The featured tree in these boxes are Turkish hazelnut (Corylus colurna).
The exterior walls of the parking garage offer a mix of climbing vines including purpleleaf grape (Vitis vinifera 'Purpurea'), Clematis 'Betty Corning' and Boston ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata 'Green Showers'). Each side of the garage also features a large triangular-shaped garden that slopes up to Mordecai Children's Garden. These two areas make up the Colorado Garden Show Promenade Garden.
