Denver Botanic Gardens Gardens Navigator |
The El Pomar Waterway features extensive hardscape in the form of stucco walls, brick walkways and a reflecting pool with a transparent waterfall. The long narrow garden includes many species of ornamental grasses and pots with many varieties of hardy succulent plants, such as Sempervivum and Jovibarba. Trees in this area include narrow upright junipers (Juniperus virginiana 'Taylor') and columnar beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Dawyk'). The western view terminates in the Science Pyramid, while the view to the east culminates in a waterfall.
