The Bill Hosokawa Bonsai Pavilion opened in June 2012. It houses the growing bonsai collection which has a major emphasis on native species from Colorado and the West trained as bonsai. These bonsai are on display seasonally on pedestals within the garden. A small pavilion houses tender bonsai, such as bougainvillea, during the growing season.
