The Ellipse in honor of Nancy Schotters |
Denver Botanic Gardens Gardens Navigator |
Built and planted in the spring of 2014, The Ellipse in honor of Nancy Schotters is the home of the Bonfils-Stanton rose collection and is accented with iris, daylilies and hydrangea among other plants. Woodland paths flank either side of the walled entrance walkway. These all lead to the formal elliptical sunken garden and water feature in the interior of the garden.
A Chihuly sculpture was installed in this garden in December 2014. It was specially commissioned for Denver Botanic Gardens and is named Colorado. |
